FAQs

WHEN SHOULD I START MY SKIN TREATMENT

For a problematic skin, we suggest 12 months - 10 months prior to your wedding.
For skin that is congested, sun damaged, showing signs of premature ageing, sensitive please book at least 6 months ahead.
For a healthy skin that needs a good boost, 3 months.
For skin that has been regularly looked after by another skin therapist and is in an amazing condition 1- 2 months.

DO YOU OFFER BRIDAL PACKAGES ?

Not in a traditional way but we believe, we offer so much more. Once a treatment plan is drafted, we design a menu of complimentary  services that best suits our bride.
It seems to us that 'Classic packages' are little bit more of a sales point and often not as tailored rather protocol rigid.
We are not a sales team but a team of passionate therapists who focus each treatment plan individually to suit our guest's style, budget and life commitments.

WHAT SERVICES ARE COMPLIMENTARY TO BRIDAL TREATMENTS ?

Depending on a treatment plan, the wishes and style of our Bride, we offer Eye Brow Styling, Infrared Sauna, LED, Body Scrub, Lift Off treatment after skin needling, product discounts.

HOW  OFTEN DO I NEED TO HAVE A FACIAL ?
This is very tricky to answer. It depends most importantly on your skin condition and your goal. Some brides need to, love to or can effort to commit to more intensive program and indulge in additional pamper sessions, other brides may visit our studio once a month.
We cater to every bride because our only wish it to make you happy, joyful and glowing.

HOW  HMUCH WILL EACH TREATMENT COST ?

Preparing a bride for her wedding day is as exciting as working with an elite athlete who's goal is to get a gold medal at Olympic Games.
Your skin therapist will work with you more intensively than ever and choose from a wide variety of treatments.
Starting from $95 skin peels to $300 skin needling sessions. There are many choices always tailored to your style, needs and budget.

DO YOU DO FACIALS FOR MEN ?

Yes. Once our bride feel comfortable with our team, loves the results of her treatments, she often bring her fionce for treatments.

It is a best idea to come together for the first treatment. We often compliment couple's treatment with a session of infrared sauna or relaxing back massage.

WHEN IS THE BEST TIM TO BRING MY FIONCE FOR HIS FIRST SKIN TREATMENT ?

Most men have a healthy skin. Their texture is often very good and lines are not an issue. Most frequently, men need a good deep cleansing treatment. If you planning to do only one treatment, 2  weeks before your wedding is  usually good timing.
From our experience : book your fionce in futher away and than again in the week of your wedding. You will be surprised but men love a good facial and relaxation as much as we do.

DO YOU OFFER PACKAGES FOR TWO ?

Our favorite. The sky is the limit. Choose from a single treatment or design a special spa evening that will include a combination of spa rituals , massage, sauna and refreshment for two. There is not a better way to take a break from the stresses of your wedding preparations, unwind and enjoy the MOMENT together.

WHAT ARE THE CONTRAINDICATIONS ?

People with the following conditions should consult with their health care practitioner before using a sauna.

Medications

Individuals who are using Warfarin or other blood thinning drugs should not use the sauna.

Individuals who are using prescription drugs should seek the advice of their personal physician or a pharmacist for possible changes in the drugs effect when the body is exposed to infrared energy. Diuretics, barbiturates and beta-blockers may impair the body’s natural heat loss mechanisms. Some over the counter drugs such as antihistamines may also cause the body to be more prone to heat stroke.

Children

The core body temperature of children rises much faster than adults. This occurs due to a higher metabolic rate per body mass, limited circulatory adaptation to increased cardiac demands and the inability to regulate body temperature by sweating. The ability to regulate body temperature by sweating is said to occur only after a child has reached puberty.

The Elderly

The ability to maintain core body temperature decreases with age. This is primarily due to circulatory conditions and decreased sweat gland function. The body must be able to activate its natural cooling processes in order to maintain core body temperature.

Cardiovascular Conditions

Individuals with cardiovascular conditions or problems (hypertension/hypotension), congestive heart failure, impaired coronary circulation or those who are taking medications, which might affect blood pressure, should exercise extreme caution when exposed to prolonged heat. Heat stress increases cardiac output, blood flow, in an effort to transfer internal body heat to the outside environment via the skin (perspiration) and respiratory system. This takes place primarily due to major changes in the heart rate, which has the potential to increase by thirty (30) beats per minute for each degree increase in core body temperature.

Alcohol/Alcohol Abuse

Contrary to popular belief, it is not advisable to attempt to “Sweat Out” a hangover. Alcohol intoxication decreases a person’s judgment, therefore they may not realise it when the body has a negative reaction to high heat. Alcohol also increases the heart rate, which may be further increased by heat stress.

Chronic Conditions/Diseases Associated with a Reduced ability to Sweat or Perspire

Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis, Central Nervous System Tumours and Diabetes with Neuropathy are conditions that are associated with impaired sweating. Consult your health care practitioner before using a Sauna.

Haemophiliacs/Individuals Prone to Bleeding

The use of Infrared should be avoided by anyone who is predisposed to bleeding.

Fever

An individual that has a fever should not use any type of Sauna.

Insensitivity to Heat

An individual that has insensitivity to heat should consult their health care professional. The temperature of the sauna can be set at lower temperatures. If in doubt, do not use any type of Sauna.

Pregnancy

Pregnant women should consult a physician before using any other type of Sauna.

DO I NEED TO GET PERMISSION FROM MY DOCTOR?

Please consult your doctor prior to booking your infrared sauna session if you suffer from the following conditions:

  • cardiovascular issues

  • obesity

  • diabetes

  • multiple sclerosis and other chronic conditions

  • Haemophilia

Clients with pacemakers, metal rods or other surgical implants should also seek medical advice before booking a sauna. We also advise clients not to use drugs, alcohol or other medications prior to using the sauna
